Therapists for college students near Ann Arbor, MI
I work from an attachment and relational lens in therapy. I incorporate emotion focused interventions, which are beneficial for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood concerns, or relational concerns.
I specialize in working with students in college, educators, people in helping professionals, and young parents. My clients desire someone who can support them in their goals, who listens well, and sees them through a holistic perspective. My clients understand that healing is a process and desire to live a wholehearted life but often feel stuck or find them repeating patterns they can't break. Often people that contact me are in need of support, skills, and a space to navigate the stress and unexpected things that inevitably come in life and partnership. I have been a school social worker for many years, so I bring my experience to help you navigate your life and professional transitions. I approach clients with a person-centered, strength-based, holistic approach. I can help facilitate communication with your partner and help you increase your insight and understanding of yourself. I offer a non-judgmental space with the goal of empowering my clients to guide themselves to health and wholeness. When you are ready and willing, I would be honored to walk this part of your life with you. You can contact me through my website (theflourshingco.org/contact-us) or give my office a call. I look forward to our work together.

Maybe you've found yourself struggling to adjust to a major life change or maybe you've realized that it's time to talk about issues that have been building over many years. Whatever the case, I believe that now is the just the right time to begin the process of healing, building connection, and living more wholeheartedly. I am a fully licensed psychologist who specializes in providing assessment services for adults, adolescents, and children. The path to self-understanding can be a challenging one. My goal through testing is to provide a safe place for individuals to gain insight into their behaviors, personality, and mental health concerns. These assessments typically examine the person's history, behavioral observations, and test results to provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment recommendations. I am well versed with psychological testing with diagnosis of attention issues (ADD/ADHD) and differential diagnosis for clinical syndromes. I also offer screening for learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.

College and graduate school can be exciting, meaningful, and rewarding—but they can also feel incredibly overwhelming. Many students find themselves struggling to balance academic pressure, relationships, work, family expectations, finances, burnout, anxiety, perfectionism, or simply trying to keep up with the constant demands of daily life. You may look like you’re functioning on the outside while internally feeling exhausted, stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to slow your mind down. I work with college students, graduate students, and young adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, stress management, academic burnout, relationship concerns, self-esteem, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I also support students who feel caught in cycles of overthinking, procrastination, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or difficulty managing emotions and responsibilities. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and practical. Therapy is not just a place to vent—it’s a space to better understand yourself while also learning concrete tools to help life feel more manageable. Together, we may work on improving coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, boundaries, confidence, organization, or ways to manage stress without constantly feeling like you’re running on empty. I have a background in school-based mental health and understand how emotional wellness directly impacts focus, motivation, relationships, and academic performance. I strive to create a therapy space that feels genuine, nonjudgmental, and approachable, where you can show up exactly as you are without feeling pressure to have everything figured out. Whether you’re struggling quietly, feeling overwhelmed by expectations, or simply wanting more support and balance in your life, you do not have to navigate it alone. I’d be happy to connect and see if we might be a good fit. I offer flexible evenings and weekends via telehealth or in-person Wednesdays and Thursdays 15 minutes from MSU and LCC.
We offer psychological testing to individuals aged 16 and older. We specialize in evaluations for ADHD, autism, and complex mental health concerns. We are focused on neurodiversity and other aspects of diversity, especially in regard to sexual orientation and gender identity. You can begin the testing process by scheduling a free 15 minute phone consultation from the website.
