When therapy becomes a reality A situation arises in one’s life that alters our once innocent perspective of our surroundings. Answers are searched through the experience of others when ultimately the truth lies within our own experiences. These two phrases tend to resonate with individuals who experience trauma, anxiety, depression, overall dysregulation within their environment. Each person’s experience is unique as well as the journey to repairing the damage left behind. My favorite thing in the world is to affirm for someone that their feelings matter. I want you to feel safe expressing all of your thoughts and emotions. There is no problem too big or too small to talk about. No matter the situation, your reactions and feelings are important. I view therapy as a collaborative process. My clients tell me what they need help with, and we work together to figure out what their best course of action is. My job isn’t to tell you what to do and send you away. My job is to listen to you and empower you to take action to improve your life. I work with children, teens, adults, and families. My specialties include mood disorders (anxiety and depression), self-esteem issues, and ADHD. I use an eclectic approach, meaning that I tailor your therapeutic experience to fit your specific needs. I’ll share my insights with you, as well as coping skills for you to try outside of session. I provide a space where you are safe to be open and authentic and can talk about whatever you need. I’m here for you and would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward a stronger, healthier life.

I was a psychiatrist prior to immigrating to the United States in 2001. I currently work as rehabilitation counselor, case manager for people with disabilities and also work as a mental health counselor independently. I am a good listener and passionate about each individual's life journey, self-identity, acculturation, relationship and career path. When we sit down to listen, learn and share different perspectives, we unlock entirely new ways of seeing ourselves. Stress never goes away, but we can adjust how to react toward stress, build resilience for ourselves and healthy relationships with others.

An essential part of our lives is creating and maintaining connections: to ourselves, other people, and the world around us. Sometimes, those connections require extra attention, in order to get the most out of life. I would be honored to walk with you through the process of learning about and cultivating that inner and outer connectedness. I work from a person-centered, holistic, and mindfulness-based approach. This means that I try to help my clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while practicing to re-regulate their body sensations in the moment. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, let’s connect! It's easiest for me to communicate by email, so if you reach out with a brief description of what you'd like help with we can get the process started.
