With fourteen years of experience working in mental health, as well as two master's degrees (the first in sociology and the second in clinical mental health counseling), I offer respectful psychotherapeutic services that celebrate human agency and diversity in all of its expressions. I honor your courage in reaching out for help as well as your perseverance in finding good help. You matter, even though it may not feel that way right now. I will do everything in my power to support you. ******************************************************************** My specializations include: Neurodiversity and Developmental Differences All services are informed by my position that we all have different and equally valid ways of interpreting information and diverse relational styles. I am trained at the master's level to assess for autism and ADHD. I tailor my approach to your learning style and preferences, finding strategies that work for you. I embrace differences and honor diversity on all levels. Career and Daily Living Whether your challenges are career-related, relational, or just getting through each day—or a combination of these challenges and more—I'm here to help you navigate life more effectively. LGBTQIA2s+and BIPOC Concerns I celebrate all types of diversity and follow evidence-based practices that save lives. With my background in sociology, I always look at contextual factors and work with your goals and value system. I practice with humility and focus on empowering marginalized identities. Post-Traumatic Stress / Adjustment I will help you manage and work through your trauma and adversities, including all types of traumas, from the "Big T traumas" to addressing microaggressions and discrimination and bias. Living with Disabilities I can assist you in coming to a place of acceptance, as well as addressing the complexities of disclosing sensitive information about your disability status, gender, sexual orientation, etc., or opening up to and connecting with supports that may be available in the community. I also provide validating support in living with medical concerns and chronic conditions that make life feel difficult. ****************************************************************** Techniques are personalized to you and your treatment plan. Here are my favorites: Sensory Integration, Bilateral Stimulation, Somatic Attunement, and Movement Especially useful for neurodivergence and trauma, these are powerful tools to assist with self-soothing and grounding. Relaxation & Humor I offer coping skills that make therapy fun, while promoting mental and physical health. Psychoeducation Honoring your pace and learning style, I love to provide informative support to help you understand yourself and your experiences better. Writing, Visual & Experiential Explorations We determine which types of processing are most helpful and, if you are open to it, employ a variety of creative methods to facilitate growth. Narrative Therapy My primary theoretical approach, narrative therapy is empowerment-based, offering tools to deconstruct of systems of being that do not service you or your values and goals. Together, we work towards reconstruction of your preferred stories!

I have experience supporting adolescents and young adults struggling with relationship challenges, stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, emotion regulation, life transitions/adjustments, and adoption. It would be my privilege to come alongside you as you explore, identify, and work to resolve the root of your challenges, as you author new narratives for yourself and your experiences, and as you develop skills for relief and resilience. I work from an attachment and trauma-responsive lens. I am trained in Brainspotting and am a Certified Grief-Informed Professional. My approach is eclectic: I draw on skills from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), experiential therapies, narrative therapy, and somatic therapy.

I love working with college students. I worked exclusively with students for 14 years and have been a therapist for 19 years. I really struggled in college myself and enjoy helping students thru this challenging time. Anxiety, motivation, time and stress management are all tough during college as well as how that constant stress effects your relationships and self care and self compassion. Helping out with career and academic direction can be part of our work too. This is also a time that gender identity and sexuality and body image issues can arise. I can help support all sorts of folks (including with neurodiversity and individuals with ADHD and chronic health issues) to stay healthy and regulated during high stress.

Good mental health is key to thriving in school, maintaining strong relationships, and enjoying life. While medication can be a helpful tool, you may have heard mixed stories and are wondering if it's the right choice for you. Perhaps you were diagnosed with ADHD as a child and managed fine through high school, but now you're struggling to keep up. Or maybe you're already on medication for depression or anxiety, but it no longer seems as effective. You might even be seeking a second opinion on a past diagnosis or looking for a more holistic approach with a provider who truly listens. Whatever you're facing, I’m here to help. Why choose a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)? As board-certified and licensed professionals, PMHNPs are trained to diagnose mental health conditions, provide therapy, and prescribe medication. Nursing has been the most trusted profession for 22 years running, and we are dedicated to putting our patients at the heart of everything we do. That’s why I named my clinic Centered Psychiatry—because your well-being is always our focus. You deserve personalized care from someone who takes the time to understand your story and collaborate with you on a plan that works for you. If you're ready to explore a fresh approach to mental health, let’s connect.

A therapist that’s warm, direct, and deeply curious. Maybe you grew up in an environment where you had to stay on guard. Maybe you've experienced abuse, violence, betrayal, loss, or events that changed the way you see yourself, other people, and the world around you. Over time, those experiences affect us and change us in ways that last longer than the experience itself. You might find yourself stuck in patterns that once helped you survive but now get in the way of the life you want. You may struggle with anxiety, depression, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, or a constant sense that you're carrying more than everyone else seems to be. The good news is that these patterns make sense. They developed for a reason. The question isn't "What's wrong with me? " The question is "What happened to me — and what do I want to do with that story now?" Navigating that answer is the work we do together.
