Being human can be tough! While experiencing the challenges that life may hold, I believe you deserve to be heard, understood, and accepted. I aim to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space for you to share, explore, heal, and make sense of your story and experiences. As we work together, you may identify aspects of your life that you would like to change or experience differently. We will work together with curiosity to create intentional and meaningful steps towards creating that change in your life. For me, it is a deep honor to be a part of your journey as we navigate life’s challenges. As someone who has been a client, I commend you for the courage and vulnerability it takes to begin looking for a counselor. You have made it this far with the resilience that resides within you, and I believe you deserve the opportunity to experience the benefits that counseling has to offer. As a counselor, I use an integrative approach that is collaborative and relationship-based, values and strengths-focused, and social justice-oriented. My approach is influenced by components of and includes teaching skills from Person-Centered, Acceptance and Commitment, Dialectical Behavioral, and Cognitive Behavioral therapies. Additionally, I practice from a lens that is trauma-informed and acknowledges the influence of systemic marginalization, intersectionality, and social injustices. Topics that I support adults in navigating include but are not limited to adjustment and stress management, LGBTQIA+ identities, identity development, issues related to young adulthood and attending college, career path exploration, interpersonal relationships, anxiety and depression, grief, trauma, shame, and self-compassion. Outside of my work, you might find me enjoying some time outside hiking or walking at the park, hanging out or cooking a meal with my chosen family and friends, playing the Nintendo Switch, laughing at memes or TikToks, or just catching up on tv shows/movies with my partner and our two cats.

Tiffany graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from Regent University. Tiffany has been providing counseling services since 2012 and Neurofeedback services since 2014. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. Tiffany is one of only three clinicians in North Carolina's Piedmont Triad Region who is Board Certified in Neurofeedback from The Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) and a certified mentor for the BCIA board certification process helping train other practitioners to become board certified in neurofeedback. Tiffany is a the only clinician in the region who has the Quantitative EEG-Diplomate Licensed (QEEG-DL) certification from the QEEG Certification Board. She is certified in HeartMath and serves as adjunct faculty at Wake Forest University in the graduate counseling program. Tiffany has received didactic training to read QEEG brain maps and administer scientifically based neurofeedback training from her mentor, Robert E. Longo, MRC, LCMHC, BCN; Richard Soutar, PhD, BCN (Alpha Theta Training); Tiff Thompson, PhD, MFT, BCN, QEEGDL, REEGT (QEEG Training), and Sebern Fisher (Neurofeedback and Developmental Trauma). Click here to listen to Tiffany’s talk on Developmental Trauma. When Tiffany began her career, she used more well-known techniques, like cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy, but it wasn’t long before she became increasingly aware that the mental health field needed alternatives. Neurofeedback takes advantage of the brain's ability to change itself allowing a person of any age to make changes in behavior and thinking patterns more easily. Using a combination of counseling and Neurofeedback, Tiffany began to see more substantial changes in her client's lives. Currently, Tiffany utilizes Neurofeedback and Heart Rate Variability in combination with traditional counseling. Click here to read Tiffany’s article on the popular Blog—Triad Mom’s on Main. Tiffany works with a variety of clientele utilizing a person-centered approach, which means sessions will start with you and your needs. Together, we will explore the issues that you bring to counseling in a holistic way with emphasis on emotional and personal history perspectives. Tiffany‘s experience has allowed her to work closely with many children, teenagers, and adults of different needs and backgrounds where she brings enthusiasm, compassion and cross-cultural understanding to her work towards healing and wholeness.

Many of the people we work with are thoughtful, caring, and capable individuals who feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. They may be struggling with anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, burnout, self-doubt, identity questions, or feeling overwhelmed by the expectations they place on themselves. Some students come to therapy because they’re facing a specific challenge. Others simply want a better understanding of themselves and why they think, feel, or react the way they do. Whether you’re navigating college life, relationships, family dynamics, career decisions, or personal growth, we aim to provide a space that feels supportive, thoughtful, and genuine. Our approach combines practical tools with deeper self-reflection, helping you build insight, develop healthier patterns, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want to create.

Hi, I’m Dale Karl, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina with more than 20 years of experience helping adults work through anxiety, stress, relationship struggles, self-esteem issues, and concerns around food and body image, including emotional eating, binge eating, and bulimia. I proudly affirm and support clients of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and cultural backgrounds. College and young adulthood can feel overwhelming at times. You may be dealing with pressure to succeed, overthinking, relationship stress, loneliness, burnout, uncertainty about the future, or feeling like you’re not fully yourself anymore. Even people who seem like they’re “doing fine” on the outside can feel anxious, exhausted, or disconnected internally. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. Therapy is a space where you can talk openly without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on beneath the surface, better understand the patterns keeping you stuck, and find practical ways to help life feel more manageable and balanced. Therapy is not about being “broken.” It’s about gaining insight, learning healthier ways of coping, and building a stronger relationship with yourself. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, lost, emotionally drained, or simply unsure where to start, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Click this link to make an appointment easily online: https://www.rula.com/providers/SC/1164800447? I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. I have been practicing for 15 years and I love what I do. Mental health is just as important as physical health. Our mind, body, and soul all work together to create who we are. It is important that we work to get each of these aspects of our lives healthy. My therapy approach is eclectic style. I truly believe that each individual has unique needs that I want to ensure I meet. I have a great deal of experience in working with college students. I specialize in treating anxiety, adjustment, and life stressor issues, trauma, depression, family dynamics, anger management, ADHD, developmental issues, self-esteem, issues children and adolescents face, and more. My approach I utilize an eclectic style of therapy to meet each individual's needs. My primary approaches to therapy are CBT, Client-Centered, Solution Focused, Positive Psychology, TF-CBT, and Play Therapy. My focus I have experience in working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I enjoy working with all ages. My communication style My therapeutic environment and communication are open, non-confrontational, and judgment-free. I believe therapy is a collaborative process. My journey to mental healthcare When I was in high school, I took a Psychology class and fell in love with learning about the mind and how it works. I have always had a passion for helping others, and immediately knew that therapy was what I wanted to choose as a career. It has been the best decision I have made. My goals for you When working with clients on setting goals, I encourage them to create their own goals. I will provide input as well, and help them navigate this. I want their goals to be realistic and attainable. I want my clients to understand that therapy is their space and time to create their own goals. My first session with you In the first session I will inquire with clients what their goals are and what brings them into therapy. I will complete a biopsychosocial assessment with them and gather information to help me best meet their needs. I will introduce myself and my therapeutic approach, and allow for any questions they have.
