Hello! My name is Erin. I specialize in working with clients with a variety of concerns including PTSD, sexual traumas, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, LGBTQIA concerns, women's issues, divorce, relationship concerns, neurodivergent and more. Therapy works best when my client is motivated for some kind of change, even if they may not know what that looks like. My role is to support them in their journey to find their path. Please note that in accordance to Michigan Law, I participate in monthly supervision meetings with a Ph.D Psychologist, Dr. Julie Davis. I use a combination of CBT, positive psychology, motivational interviewing and more to meet a client where they are. My approach is direct for those who prefer, and softer for those who need a lighter approach. I use humor with my clients and find the absurdities and ironies in life. I am also able to go to the dark places with my clients. I know what it’s like to feel lost and uncertain. I know what it’s like to experience hopelessness and feel a desire to live a more meaningful life. These are just a few of the reasons I became a therapist. Participating in my own therapy from a young age helped me understand I wanted to others navigate these difficult feelings for a more fulfilling life.

I am inspired when I see college-age men and women who are searching for emotional, financial, and intellectual independence. College can be a challenging time of finding identity and intimacy and I assist by helping clarify college relationships. Having gone to college and raising four children, I understand many things about the stages of early adulthood. I offer a safe space to process different parts that may be confusing in order to safely integrate all facets of personality and enhance congruence, agency, and personal power, enabling young adults to grow up healthy, more swiftly than struggling on their own.

Hi, I’m a Latina Christian therapist, and I work best with students who feel like they’re carrying a lot—whether it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, or just trying to figure out who they are. Many of my clients are first-generation immigrants or come from multicultural backgrounds and are navigating big transitions, like moving away from home, balancing family expectations, or finding their voice in new spaces. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood, you're not alone. I use evidence-based approaches like EMDR to help process trauma, DBT and CBT to build practical coping skills, and even animal-assisted therapy for emotional support. I create a space where you can show up as your full self—culturally, spiritually, and emotionally—and be met with care and understanding. If that sounds like what you need, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

*CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS* It takes strength to ask for help. Each person lives a life full of unique circumstances and challenges. I believe in partnering with my clients to help them develop their potential and find the path that is right for them. My goal is to empower clients to live their best lives. I enjoy seeing the pride my clients have when they've succeeded in reaching their goals. These goals are often hidden in everyday stressors and the challenges we face, and by exploring challenges in a safe environment, I support my clients in unlocking their goals and fulfilling them. Each person, while having unique psychology and brain chemistry, is an active participant in their environment, whether that be a school, work setting, family, or relationship. We are all influenced by others, and we all have the potential to change our lives. With this in mind, depending on individual needs, I help clients to advocate for positive change. Traditional office hours are often inconvenient. That's why I offer appointments between 8 am and 8 pm on weekdays. Please call or email, and I'll work with you to find the best time for your first appointment.

I am glad you are here to reflect on those moments and create space for personal growth, peace, and inner strength. I view therapy as a vital layer of support—a confidential space for self-exploration and healing. My hope is that this support empowers you to navigate life’s challenges alongside other sources of strength, such as family, friends, and community. My approach focuses on identifying and strengthening the skills you need to manage symptoms while addressing root causes. This process helps you gain deeper insight into your behaviors, ultimately fostering lasting change. Prevention and holistic well-being are also central to my work. I provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking personal growth and well-being. My focus is on empowering you to overcome challenges and achieve mental and emotional wellness. I believe in the power of therapy as a tool for positive change and am committed to helping you navigate your unique life journey. I received my master’s degree in holistic psychological counseling from Bangalore University in Bangalore, India and my master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. I have been practicing as a licensed psychologist in Michigan since October 2013. Prior to my graduate program at Wright State University, I worked as a mental health counselor for three years in Kerala, India. My clinical approach is integrative, incorporating perspectives and strategies from cognitive-behavioral, systems, feminist, and interpersonal frameworks. I am here to provide you with a safe space to explore the symptoms and challenges that affect your ability to have a meaningful life. I also prioritize a solution-focused approach when addressing mental health issues. It's important to consistently develop and strengthen our skills to manage various life challenges. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, social dynamics, or just feeling a bit disconnected from yourself. I’m here to sit with you in the in-between space and help you make sense of it all. As a former university counselor in a college counseling center (CAPS), I bring that experience together with EMDR, somatic approaches, and parts work to help you feel more grounded, in touch with who you are, and hopeful about what’s ahead.

I am so honored you found yourself here. I believe therapy works best when you feel deeply understood—not analyzed or rushed. Before I’m a therapist, I’m a human who values gentleness, curiosity, and compassion. It’s truly a privilege to sit with folks as they share their stories, their pain, and hopes for something different. I have a special passion for working with neurodivergent (or “neurospicy”) humans and those whose nervous systems have been shaped by trauma. Therapy with me moves at a pace that honors your body, your boundaries, and your unique way of being in the world. There’s no pressure to perform or “fix” yourself. My work is grounded in experiential and somatic approaches, meaning we don’t just talk about what’s happening—we gently explore how your experiences live in your body, emotions, and relationships. This can be especially powerful for healing complex trauma, navigating chronic pain and reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have learned to stay guarded. If you desire to connect with a therapist that cultivates a safe space for you to explore healing without judgement and approaches your experiences with curiosity and empathy I invite you to this space. As a fellow neurodivergent, chronically ill, queer woman - I understand how exhausting life can be. Let us explore what living authentically means for you.
