I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over ten years of experience. My areas of specialty include: depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, conflicts around cultural identity, life transitions, and academic and career struggles. I am particularly interested in helping clients who face conflicts around their race, culture, and identity. This may include first and second-generation immigrants who have the challenge of straddling multiple cultures and finding their authentic voice. I work pragmatically and collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals. I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL where I received the Walter Burke Award in Clinical Excellence and a Distinction of Honors on my Ph.D. Comprehensive Qualifying Paper. At Northwestern, I trained in psychodynamic and dialectical behavioral therapy and published several research papers on juvenile detainees and violence in persons with severe mental illness in peer-reviewed journals. I completed my internship at the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, NY where I treated adolescents, families, and adults in outpatient clinics, a Psychiatric Emergency Room, and on an adult inpatient unit. Afterward, I worked as an individual and group psychotherapist and clinical supervisor at the counseling center at Fordham University in the Bronx, NY. At Fordham, I was also the outreach coordinator in which I regularly interacted with marginalized students on campus. In addition to working as a psychotherapist, I worked at the Harvard Business School assisting with the organizational psychology course, “Authentic Leadership Development.”

Starting therapy is a big step—one that takes courage. College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Therapy is a space where you can bring your full self—your worries, frustrations, hopes, and uncertainties—without fear of judgment. My goal is to help you make sense of what feels messy, reconnect with your strengths, and navigate the challenges that are holding you back. I specialize in working with college students and understand the unique struggles that come with this stage of life. If you're curious about how therapy might help, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. Feel free to check out my website or send me an email with any questions. No matter what you're facing, you're not alone, and I'm here to support you.

I work with my clients to understand their experience, areas they would like to focus on, and collaborate to address these issues with an approach that’s every bit as unique as they are. I have worked extensively with autistic clients and individuals diagnosed with ADHD, focusing on topics related to anxiety, depression, sexuality, self-esteem, life transitions, workplace conflict, relationships, parenting, social skills, and executive functioning. With a judgment-free, strengths-based approach, I seek to foster happiness and confidence, supporting each person as an individual finding their own path. There are times when life brings us challenges and presents us with unexpected or difficult situations. We may not always feel in control over the events in our lives. Stress, anger, fear, anxiety, sadness can often become overwhelming. We may not know which way to turn for support or understand how to bring about the positive changes we’d like to see happen. Change is possible. You have taken the most important first step--reaching out--and I am here to work with you, making your goals realities. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT) with over twenty years of experience working with individuals and families. My approach to counseling is non-judgmental, integrative, and collaborative. I work with you so that, together, we can meet your goals. Expressive Therapy is an important approach I use in therapy and it involves engaging in activities like drawing, storytelling, music, writing as part of the process towards a deeper understanding. It provides the means for us to explore and share authentically who we are, our pain, our joy, and to welcome the support of others on our journey.
Trying to hold it together in college can be exhausting. If anxiety is constant, your focus is shot, your mood feels unpredictable, or you’re wondering why everything feels harder than it should — this is where we come in. We’re a small psychiatric practice with two experienced nurse practitioners who specialize in medication management for students. We take the time to understand what’s going on, explain things in plain language, and create a plan that fits your life — not just your symptoms. You deserve support that feels thoughtful, not rushed.
PMHNP stands for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am a nurse practitioner specializing in the treatment of common mental health disorders, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, insomnia, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder, and mood disorders. I prescribe medication when it is clinically appropriate, as it can be an essential component of a comprehensive treatment plan for many mental health conditions. My approach emphasizes collaboration and informed consent. Any medication decisions are made together, ensuring the patient feels comfortable and supported in his/her/their care. Once prescribed, medications are carefully monitored and adjusted as needed to ensure both safety and effectiveness. Rather than focusing only on symptom management, I take a functional, root-cause approach to understanding each person’s presentation. I am currently completing a functional medicine fellowship to deepen this work, and integrate these principles into my care. This includes using lab testing to uncover underlying imbalances, supporting wellness through nutrition, sleep, and lifestyle, and incorporating nutraceuticals or supplements when appropriate to promote lasting improvement.
College can feel like a mix of excitement and pressure all at once. Between academics, relationships, figuring out who you are, and trying to keep up with everything, it’s really easy to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or like you’re just barely holding it together. In therapy, I try to create a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. We slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and work together to find ways to feel more grounded and more like yourself again. I really believe people already have strengths in them, even if it doesn’t feel accessible in the moment. My job is to help you reconnect with those strengths and figure out how to use them in real life, especially during stressful or confusing seasons. I work with college students and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, trauma, and big life transitions. I use approaches like CBT, mindfulness, and body-based (somatic) work to help you understand what you’re feeling and actually shift it in a practical, supportive way. My fee for a 50-minute session is $180. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots ($90–$100) to help make therapy more accessible.
