Therapists for college students near Denver, CO
Something doesn't feel right. Maybe you are experiencing a heaviness that you haven't known before. Perhaps your relationship with your body, your work, or others is consuming your time and energy. Maybe you are grappling with a significant loss that has shaken your sense of the world. No matter what you bring in, you are multifaceted and deserve to explore and process your own experience. Understanding the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that have shaped you can make way for profound and lasting change. Relief often arrives when we find we have learned to interpret the world from this new vantage, as does self-compassion. I believe that mental health is a product of the whole self, extending beyond just mind and body but to the creative, intuitive, and spiritual aspects of our being. Working from a psychodynamic lens, we will explore the present with particular attention paid to how our histories, relationships, and unconscious wishes and fears shape our world. I believe each person carries their own complex and dynamic history. Unearthing that story together through the counseling relationship can heal, transform, and provide the freedom to live a more conscious and fulfilling life. I am so glad you are here. It would be an honor to walk with you on this journey. I would be happy to explore working together.
ADHD. Anxiety. Performance Anxiety. Depression. Low Energy. This is what I do best! My mission is to create a safe, confidential space for those seeking clarity, focus, and optimal mental health. I prescribe both medications and nutraceuticals as needed to help you achieve your best health. The next step? Life rarely moves in a straight path, and the transitions, pressures, and losses that come with it can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. As a clinical social worker and therapist, helping people navigate the challenges that arise throughout adulthood is work I find deeply meaningful. Whether you're managing the weight of a major life change, working through strained relationships, struggling with work-life balance, facing caregiver stress, or searching for a renewed sense of purpose, you don't have to navigate it alone. These experiences can stir up anxiety, sadness, frustration, guilt, isolation, or hopelessness, and that's exactly where meaningful support can make a difference. Together, we work to transform those challenges into opportunities for growth and a more fulfilling, joyful life. At the heart of effective therapy is a strong, trusting relationship, and building that with you is my first priority. Empathy, authenticity, and genuine connection are not just values I hold; they are the foundation of how I show up for every person I work with, because you deserve a space where you feel truly heard and respected, and where open, honest dialogue is always welcomed. As we work together, I draw from evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs, preferences, and goals. That might look like broadening perspective, building resilience, practicing self-compassion, or challenging the thoughts that keep you feeling small. Whatever your path forward looks like, my aim is to be a supportive partner dedicated to your healing journey as you reclaim your sense of agency, practice self-compassion, and deepen your connection to yourself and others. My path to becoming a therapist began with a feeling of restlessness after a trial run at retirement. Reflecting on my life, I realized there was still more to give, just as so many had given to me along the way. Throughout my own journey, the attentive listening and encouragement of others kept me hopeful during fearful and uncertain times. Phrases like "this too shall pass," "one day at a time," “don’t borrow worry,” and "to thine own self be true" became anchors when doubt and insecurity crept in. Those experiences shaped my deep belief in the power of being truly heard. Before this chapter, I spent my career in management and leadership roles at innovative medical device companies, guiding diverse teams through change and helping develop products that improved patient access and outcomes. That work taught me the enduring importance of empathy, trusted communication, and adaptability. Those same qualities now live at the center of my therapeutic practice. In my free time, you'll most likely find me soaking up the Colorado sun with family and friends, hiking, skiing, traveling, or simply following wherever curiosity leads

As a multicultural woman, I not only have personal experience with historical trauma, intergenerational trauma, and women's issues, but I also specialize in grief and loss, sexual assault/violence, suicidality, relationship issues, transitional difficulties, depression, anxiety, identity formation, and more. With experience serving ages 12-adult, I aim to create a safe space to explore an array of different obstacles within the human experience to leave my clients feeling empowered and heard. With a deep personal and professional understanding of social work, social justice, social change, and historical trauma, I align myself in support of the acknowledgement and healing of all Indigenous Peoples, the Black Lives Matter Movement and Black / African American folks as well as many multicultural minoritized individuals and communities experiencing racialized trauma and injustice, as well as the LGBTQIA+ communities continuing to fight every day for equity across systems. I have a well-rounded perspective on spirituality, and challenge myself to do continued allyship work within myself and my practice to show up for the intersections of my clients with a mindfulness around impact, action, and honoring the innate dignity of the whole person.

Let’s be real — the state of the world right now is heavy. As if maintaining good mental health weren’t hard enough already, right? I’m here to support with those hard day-to-day challenges, and to help you understand and shift how your past shapes the way you move through the world today. You have a story worth telling, and I want to hear it. My role is to walk beside you — offering perspective, practical tools, and space to heal. I specialize in working with trauma, grief, and anxiety, always guided by mindfulness, compassion, and a holistic perspective on healing. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities including EMDR, Internal family systems (IFS or inner child work), Somatic Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I take a creative approach, weaving together tools from each of these modalities to shape a process that truly fits your needs. For more detail on each, check out the image above. Therapy should feel like a space where you’re truly supported. For some, that means sitting on a cozy couch in an office. For others, it might mean walking through a nearby park or connecting virtually from the comfort of home. You know what feels right for you — and I’d be honored to walk alongside you on that path.
I strive to provide excellent care to my clients through a diverse set of modalities tailored to their needs. I look forward to working with you to meet your goals, whatever they might be.

I see every client as unique and tailor treatment to fit the needs of each individual. My approach is collaborative and eclectic. Growing up comes with unique challenges at every stage, whether you’re a child, teen, young adult, or family seeking support. As a licensed professional counselor, my passion lies in helping individuals and families navigate life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and the connection between therapist and patient is at the heart of meaningful progress. That’s why I work collaboratively with you to build a meaningful, trusting therapeutic relationship grounded in a trauma-informed, patient-centered approach. My goal is to offer a safe, inclusive space where you can develop effective coping skills, build self-awareness, and move toward the lasting growth and well-being you deserve. As a person of color, creating a culturally inclusive space is something I hold with great intention. Representation matters, and I strive to offer every patient the opportunity to work with a therapist who can understand and genuinely relate to their lived experience. My approach is integrative and shaped entirely around your unique needs and goals. Within our therapeutic relationship, you'll find a space that is both safe and encouraging, one where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, and incorporating art- and play-based techniques when working with children and adolescents, sessions are designed to meet you where you are. Together, we'll work to uncover patterns, work through life's experiences, and build practical coping tools that support your growth. My path to becoming a therapist is deeply personal. My own experiences in therapy, navigating anxiety, and growing up with divorced parents gave me firsthand insight into the power of healing and the importance of having the right support in your corner. That foundation shapes the care and empathy I bring to every session. With four years of experience in private group practice and school-based settings, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, and families through a wide range of challenges. Most recently, as a school-based therapist, I helped young people strengthen focus, build peer relationships, and develop practical coping skills they could carry into every area of their lives. Experience in a day treatment setting has further deepened my understanding of more intensive support needs. This background gives me a strong understanding of today's educational environment and the pressures students and families face, and I am well-equipped to support you in advocating for your needs within the school system. Originally from Chicago, I’ve called Colorado home since 2015. Outside of the therapy room, time with family, friends, and dogs brings me a lot of joy, as does exploring the great Colorado outdoors through hiking and paddle boarding. Trying new restaurants, catching live music, reading, and watching scary movies round out life away from work.
