Have you ever wondered what therapy could be like using art materials and activities? I support college students and young adults use the power of creativity to process emotions, gain insight, work through challenges, and overcome hardships through transformative art. My style is relational, collaborative, and mindful. My clients describe me as: Grounded, relatable, supportive, humorous, comforting, non-judgmental, and patient. You'll also practice coping skills, mindfulness, body awareness, relational skills, boundary setting, identifying/processing/regulating emotions, & dive into how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. I personally know what it’s like to deeply struggle through teen and young adult years. And I know what it’s like to receive help, work through it, and come out on the other side empowered. If you're reading this and it sounds like a good fit, then I will likely feel that way too. 1st step: Reach out for a free consult call - I'd love to hear more about you!

Hi everyone, I’m Amy, and I’m really glad you’re here. My approach to therapy is about creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and supported. I’m trained in EMDR and also like to bring in approaches such as mindfulness, walking sessions, breath work, and practical skill-building, depending on what feels most helpful for you. I also draw from DBT, which stands for Dialectical Behavior Therapy. In real life, that means learning concrete tools for things like calming yourself when emotions feel overwhelming, communicating more effectively in relationships, and finding ways to balance school, life, and stress. These skills are all about helping you feel more in control and supported in the day-to-day challenges you face. I’m also a mom, and I have deep respect and admiration for young adults — I really value the unique perspectives you bring to the world. My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate challenges, discover your strengths, and build tools that support your growth both now and in the future.

I support those who are seeking relief regarding stress from life transitions/anxiety, exploring healing from previous traumatic experiences, and those navigating the complexity of grief and family relationships. I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing). EMDR is an approach that allows the brain and body to process and reprocess distressing experiences. This integrative and empowering process is led by you and allows trauma to heal. Previous clients have described my approach as warm, attentive, and clear. I strives to create a non-judgmental space for exploring, supporting, and healing. If you are in a life transition, starting a new adventure, wanting to explore old patterns that are no longer useful, or are curious about new coping skills, I may be a good fit!

Hi, welcome to my practice! My main goal is to help you rediscover your true self. My approach to psychotherapy is holistic. Healing is most effective if it addresses the full range of the human experience, including body, mind and spirit. This understanding is rooted in my personal journey of healing in different wisdom traditions of the world. I have received training in shamanic traditions of South, Central, and North America. I completed my yoga teacher training in India, studied massage therapy in Thailand and have practiced Chinese martial arts for several years. Additionally, I worked for three years as a wilderness field guide in a wilderness treatment program with and emphasis on addiction. In my practice, I focus on somatic or body-based therapy, as well internal family systems and transpersonal psychotherapy. Some of my areas of expertise are trauma, addiction, sexuality, identity, anxiety and depression. I do talk therapy, as well as ketamine and cannabis-assisted therapy. I am devoted to being an unconditional support to my clients, walking beside them as they heal their deepest wounds and rediscover the wisdom of their body along the way.
I’m so glad you are here. I am here to help free you from your past trauma and align you with your deepest self. I will help you to connect deeply with your inherent wisdom and wholeness and to unburden old feelings. Whether you are experiencing anxiety or trauma; struggling with your sexuality, spirituality, or intimate relationships; or feeling generally held back by internal or external obstacles, you have come to the right place. Let’s discover together what it feels like to be free and connected to your purpose once again.
Change is hard! Staying stuck is harder. Psychotherapy can help you get back to feeling good about yourself, your relationships, or gain clarity about your life goals. We all struggle sometimes with life’s challenges, and we learn to handle them in many ways. If we’re lucky, we find helpful coping strategies, but sometimes what we’ve learned to do to manage stress stops working for us. Usually, that is the time when people decide to try therapy: when they are unable to find their way out of rigid patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving, knowing that there is something better out there but not knowing how to find it! I am a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst in the state of Colorado, and I am also licensed in Idaho. I completed my pre-doctoral internship and my post-doctoral fellowship at the Wardenburg Health Center at the University of Colorado. Through that time I came to love working with college students. College is a time of major transitions where you get to practice independence while still being somewhat dependent. This "in-between" place can be exciting and challenging. Helping students as they strive to separate from their families of origin and come into their own is one of my favorite parts about being a therapist.

Feeling "not good enough"? Like no mater how hard you try, you still feel "inadequate"? You don't have to internalize this damaging societal programming. It seems to bombard us from all directions: social media, in-groups at school, family, professors, society at large. Together we'll work to replace this narrative with one of innate worthiness, internal strength, emotional intelligence, enhanced well being, and more fulfilling relationships. In addition to traditional talk therapy, we'll use proven breathing techniques and movement exercises to reduce stress, anxiety, or depression and make room for your true uninhibited self to arise.
